Creating Email Templates

Previously called Canned Responses, Templates in Gmail will make writing the same email over and over a much quicker task! Use templates for weekly newsletters, responses you write again and again, and more! After enabling Templates in your settings they will be available for you to create and use. See the instructions below or click here for video instructions.
1. Open your Gmail account and click on Settings and then See All Settings

2. Click on the Advanced tab and then enable Templates. Click Save Changes at the bottom.

3. Click on Compose. Compose and format your message as you would like.

4. Click the more icon (3 vertical dots) in the bottom right corner of the message, hold your cursor over Templates and then Save draft as template. Select Save as new template.

5. Give your template a name. Click Save. Close out of your email message.

6. To use your template, select compose, click the more icon, hold your cursor over templates, click on the name of the template you would like to use.
